Clean eating through the Holidays - Week 2
Monday
I wasn’t joking when I said that Mississippi pot roast will be on my repertoire!
The family loves it and it’s so easy to start the week with.
Tuesday
Taco Tuesday!!
Check out my link on Pinterest. This is how we do our paleo tacos. Siete grain free tortillas are always on hand in our house
Wednesday
I made another hit from The Defined Dish cookbook
This was actually my first time making her sheet pan Chicken Shawarma recipe and OMG!!!
I have to give an honest review… the hubby and I loved it but the kick of the cayenne was a little much for the kids. Next time I’ll do two separate pans for the chicken. One with the cayenne for us (we loved it) one without. I will say, they ate all of it but with lots of water ha ha
I threw in some Jasmine rice. These pouches from Trader Joe’s heat up in 3 minutes and make a simple side even easier
On Wednesday I went with one of my go to recipes the kids love. I absolutely love The Defined Dish cookbook
I cook out of it at least once a week. It’s also a great gift.
I made her grain free chicken nuggets. Whole 30 approved and paleo. My kids devour them. I roasted sweet potatoes and broccoli for our sides and dipped in my favorite habanero ranch from Tessemaes (linked on my amazon under whole 30)
Let’s talk lunches
I repeatedly talk about my dinners making great leftovers for lunch but obviously that gets old. I love a good salad. I have some easy go tos that I throw together
These chicken patties from Trader Joe’s are amazing and Whole 30 compliant. I throw them on top of a salad with veggies, avocado and my favorite dressing or you can create a lettuce wrapped burger
My other favorite is mixing tuna with Primal Kitchen’s chipotle lime mayo and throwing it on top of a bed or lettuce. It gives the tuna the perfect kick.
These sweet potato slices make your life so easy! They can go straight from freezer to toaster. I found mine at Sprouts. I use them for avocado toast or in lieu of a bun
Thursday
Dad is in charge because it’s my late night. I always keep veggies on hand ready to roast, taco supplies or marinate some chicken for him to easily throw on the grill. I love marinating chicken in the Lemon Garlic dressing from Tessemaes and seasoning it with Primal palate Garlic & Herb (seasoning is on my Amazon whole 30 list).
