Ultimate Gift Guide
The holidays are here and tis the season for gift giving. This week I cover everyone in your family!
Hostess with the Mostess
This guide covers two types. Hostess gift ideas and the person in your life that has everything and loves to entertain.
Hostess gift- I love to show up with something they’ll use. I will get a set of dish towels and a spatula and tie a ribbon around it for a simple yet useful gift. You can also never go wrong with a beautiful candle. Maison Louis Marie candles never disappoint.
For the person who has everything- I love kitchen basics. I talked about the dish towels but simple white platters someone can always use to entertain. These are classic and so affordable. How about a new set of baking sheets or mixing bowls? These are something everyone uses. Anything personalized goes a long way and is thoughtful. I love the simple coasters and cutting boards.
Gifts for the Teen in your Life
Have a teen or even tougher a preteen in your life? I thought really hard about this one. Do you remember when you started to care about your hair and makeup? Or when your skin started to break out? I wanted to find items that made styling easy for them so they felt confident. Light makeup that wasn’t too heavy and some skin care ideas to help them start their routine young. For stocking stuffers hair product and makeup are perfect!
The Kid Gift Guide
Ladies first! Ella is 6 and this is what she’s asking for. She really wants the Barbie Dream House and anything American Girl. For stocking stuffers I do the necessities like underwear, socks and a new toothbrush. Then I throw in the fun stuff, chapstick, play makeup and hair accessories.
Now for the boys! Hudson is 8 and had officially hit the age where all the boys are into video games. We decided to start with the Nintendo switch. He is our little artist so every Christmas we stock up on art supplies for him. Board games are also a big hit and fun for the whole family. I also found the cutest black rain boots and got them for both the kids.
Gifts for Him
My husband makes it tough on me every year. He always says “I don’t need anything”
I try to stick to necessities. New shirts for work, new workout gear and I fill his stocking with the usual suspects. This year he played pickleball and really enjoyed it so I found a cool set on amazon so we can start playing together. Both my husband and I love a beautiful coffee table book and I wanted to try and find him one for his office. The watches book from Assouline is perfect.
