The Perfect Bob Blowout

You did it! You went for a bob.

—So how do you style it?—

I got ya and to be honest these blow dry techniques will work on any length. I have thick, wavy hair but a fine texture. I need to smooth out my frizz and wave but I like some lift at the root. The curls and and cowlicks on my hairline are no joke!

You want to start every blow out no matter the texture with flat wrapping. You will see this word a lot in my tutorials. Basically you blow dry the hair back and forth to smooth out the root (I have another tutorial just to break down flat wrapping for you). If you have fine/thin hair use a vent brush. Thick or wavy hair a paddle/wet brush will be better for smoothing.

After your hair is 80% dry then you hit it with the round brush.

—Why?—

It will take you FOREVER if you start with the round brush too soon. Air travels better through a vent or paddle brush. A round brush is for smoothing and finishing. I prefer a boar bristle brush. Metal brushes get too hot and can burn the hair.

Practice makes perfect and you got this! All the brushes and products I prepped my hair with are linked below!
