If I can make it YOU can make it!

I am not a chef but I can follow a recipe and I’ve also figured a few things out that make my life easier from past Whole 30s. When I make something I try to make enough for 2 extra meals so I have lunch while I’m at the salon.

My first week of Whole 30 went really well! I did some of my go to recipes and tried some new ones. Make sure to check out my blog post on my easy side dish recipes. They’re great for food prep and having food ready to eat.

Roasted Chicken

It’s so easy to roast a chicken! You throw it in the oven and forget about it. Plus the leftovers are great on top of a salad. All I do is quarter a lemon and an onion. Stick one quarter each in the cavity with a sprig of rosemary. Then I season with Trader Joe’s Everyday seasoning and a heavy drizzle of olive oil. It’s so flavorful!

I love cooking out of The Defined Dish cookbook. The recipes are always delicious and kid approved. I made her chicken piccata this week. Check out her cookbook!

Breakfast

We make a serious breakfast in my house! To be honest if I don’t feel like making a lunch or dinner I make breakfast again. Eggs are a great emergency meal. The Pederson farm bacon is a great Whole 30 approved food to have on hand.

You can throw leftovers on a salad!

Grilled Chicken

We probably grill chicken every few days. It’s an easy dinner option and great to throw on a salad the next day. My favorite marinade is the lemon garlic from tessamaes.
