SoCal weekend getaway
There are so many amazing staycation options living in Southern California. I love quality time and exploring where we live. We decided to venture out to La Jolla California.
It is such a beautiful town and the beaches are UNREAL!
We decided to stay at La Valencia right in the heart of downtown La Jolla. Our kids are almost 6 and 8 years old. We could walk to everything. A few amazing beaches were a 5-10 minute drive away plus an amazing local aquarium.
Wind and Sea Beach is breathtaking. Smooth rocks, soft sand and a long stretch of beach amongst beautiful homes. The kids had so much fun playing in the waves and watching the surfers
Children’s pool beach is a short walk from the hotel and so fun to see! The seals and sea lions have taken over. There is an amazing sea wall you can walk out on and take it all in. I might have been more excited than the kids. We were lucky enough to see a ton of pups. The babies were so precious and my kids were so happy seeing all the wildlife they didn’t even realize all the walking we were getting in.
The Cave store looks like your typical tourist store but it actually has a tour that takes you underground into a cave! Make a reservation!!! Unfortunately we didn’t have one but now I know and want to go back

We went to Cody’s for breakfast. The food was amazing and the restaurant had an awesome coastal modern vibe. The kids were in love with their French toast and I had a light and healthy egg dish

We hit up Duke’s and George’s Ocean Terrace for an ocean view family friendly dinner. I love that La Jolla offers beautiful views with a casual vibe for families.
