Making Memories at Hotel Del Coronado

If you follow me on Instagram or are one of my clients you know I have been working like crazy. My plan for Summer was to work less and have a Summer with my kids. When I had to let my assistant go in June, that went out the window. My normal 2 days a week turned into 4 or 5 because I needed to spread out clients so I can handle everyone by myself. Needless to say it’s been busy and I was missing my babies. I rearranged my schedule (thank you to those amazing clients that moved for this) to give myself some consecutive days off and booked Hotel Del Coronado last minute. I literally booked Monday night to arrive on Wednesday! I was just craving some time with my kiddos with no agenda but beach and sunshine.

I immediately text my ride or die mama to see if she could join and sure enough she came for a night

The kids had the best time and we made the most of our 24 hours. The boys did a surf lesson with Gnarly Neals (link Instagram @gnarlyneals)

The girls frolicked on the beach, collecting seaweed and looking for crabs

The Del Coronado Beach has beach chair service for rent and there is also a hut right next to it to book surf lessons or for other fun water rentals. You really don’t need to leave the resort but if you want to venture out and walk Coronado Island I highly recommend it. Everything is walkable and easy.

Dad made it down for lunch and dinner on day 2. The Sun Deck restaurant on the property is great with kids. There’s live music and the kids just played while we ate. The view can’t be beat.

On the final day it was just the kids and me. We played in the ocean all morning then lunched and lounged by the pool in the afternoon.

Some tips if you’re going to plan a stay at the Hotel Del Coronado. If you book the Victorian building remember that it is the original hotel. It’s updated but definitely upgrade to a view. The rooms are small and can be dark. For a more modern experience go with a room in the Views building. For the ultimate luxury experience stay in the beach village with your own private restaurant and pools for their guests.
