Quick Updo Style for Short Hair

My hair is so close to fitting in a ponytail. When my hair was long I was the queen of a bomb top knot when I wanted a quick and easy up style.

Sometimes the perfect updo pulls the whole outfit together. Or let’s be honest… some days your hair is dirty and you want to throw it up. That can be a challenge with short hair.

This look is so quick and easy. 

First, I prep the hair with R+Co dry shampoo paste to add texture and grit to the root area.

I basically make 2 ponytails and I only pull the hair half way through.

Then, I pull it apart and pin the hair randomly to spread it out and connect the sections.

Spritz the hair with hairspray and fan the ends. I’m using R+Co outer space hairspray.

A texture spray would also work great. It’s supposed to be messy so play with it and have fun!

If your hair is shorter than mine try 3 ponytails. Also play with teasing the hair to add more volume and texture.
